I have always wanted to try growing plants using hydroponics, the main reason is the fact that you can get a higher density in a small area. If we were to grow strawberries in the garden then we would be looking at 3 or 4 plants per square ft. Growing strawberries in horizontal hydroponics allows us to grow 4 or five times as much. Raised planting beds

Spring time Vegetables

Springtime and there is lots to do in the garden Tasks completed in the last few weeks: Repaired 3 of the Raised beds, rebuilt the 4th from scratch as it was rotten Planted Onions and First Early potatoes. Planted seeds in the greenhouse (Beans, Tomatoes, Sunflowers, Beetroot, Butternut Squash, Sweet Peppers) Built a new compost heap and moved the contents of the other 3 around, they are now rotting well.
